Castor oil and acne and uses of ice in removing acne scars

Aside from knowing your skin type, you should also know just how severe your acne condition is at the moment. Some herbal products come with properties that can be harmful to acne that is already of the severe nature. Other herbal products would have properties that are too strong for mild or moderate acne. Your dermatologist can still greatly help you in this aspect.
With any acne treatment, you must take a common sense approach to treating. First and foremost, cleanliness is of the utmost importance. Wash the affected area at least twice daily, more if you work in a dirty environment or have been doing physical activity. Use a pure soap, not one that contains deodorants or fragrances.
An acne cyst appears similar to a nodule, but is filled with pus, and has been described as having a diameter of 5mm or more across. It can be painful. Cysts can cause permanent scarring. Squeezing an acne cyst may cause a deeper infection and more painful inflammation which will last much longer than if you had left it alone. Dermatologists often have ways of lessening swelling and preventing scarring, so consult the dermatologist.
